Louisville Center for Spiritual Living Print E-mail

Sunday, June 23, was one of the rare times that Rev. Kathy and I were able to attend Service at the Louisville Center for Spiritual Living (LCSL) with Rev. Carolyn Harvill.  Carolyn gave a wonderful lesson and the house band was great.  It is always a pick-me-up whenever we visit our old friends at LCSL.  Kathy and I thank you.

Navy Retirement Ceremony Print E-mail

On June 22, 2013 at the American Legion Post in New Albany IN, Chief Petty Officer Master-at-Arms Travis R. Earl retired from the US Navy with 20 years of service.

Travis' brother, Josie Earl, played the National Anthem on his electric guitar.  Rev. Dr. Mike Dearing (uncle) gave the Invocation and the Benediction. Family, friends and fellow sailors participated and were in attendance.

As part of the Ceremony, he received several letters of Accommodation, including from the Governor of Indiana and the Governor of California, the Secretary  of the Navy and the Commander in Chief, President Barrack Obama.  Travis' children, Kayla and Cody, also received letters of appreciation from the Navy.

At the close, Travis was piped out then the Travis Earl family was piped out.

The Ceremony was very moving.

Travis we thank you for your service.  You are fourth generation of military service and we are very proud of you.  I have no doubt that you will do well in any endeavor that you choose to follow.

Armand and Angelina Concert Print E-mail

Unity of Indianapolis was the venue last night for Armand and Angelina's Age of Aquarius Concert.  They have appeared on television and toured internationally and performed with speakers including Marianne Williamson, Neale Donald Walsch, Alan Cohen, Gerald Jampolsky and Edwene Gaines.

Angelina is a classically trained vocalist who attended Indiana University and also plays the classical guitar.  Armand is an ordained musical minister and singer/songwriter who plays the piano and Native American flute.

When they come to perform near you, be sure to see them.  It is time well spent.

Rev Dr Mike Dearing
