Westfield Elopement Print E-mail

Rev. Dr. Mike Dearing, an Indiana Wedding Officiant, assisted Susan Malcolm and Jay Rodgers to become husband and wife.  The ceremony took place at Westfield IN.  They used the short and fast Elopement Ceremony.

I congratulate Susan and Jay and wish them the best that life has to offer.

Louisville Center for Spiritual Living - Weekly Updates

Rev. Carolyn's Corner- Rev. Dr. Michael Dearing and his wife, Kathy, were with us on Sunday.  They now live near Indianapolis, but at one time he had a Center here in Louisville.  He shared a little of his story and the people who have gone before us.  Did you know that in the 80's there was a Center with a membership of over 150 people?  They and later, Michael, built a foundation that we have built upon.  As Ernest Holmes said: "We stand on the shoulders of Giants."

10th Anniversary Print E-mail

On October 31, Halloween, 2014, my wife Kathy and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at Couples Resort in Negril, Jamaica.  Such a special event deserved a special place.  Our dear friend, Julie Hott of Hott Destination Travel, suggested and made all the arrangements for us.  We had a 6 day, 5 night romantic experience.

Couples is an all-inclusive resort.  Everything is included in the price - meals at any of resort's four restaurants, the bars and mini bar in the room and tips (no tipping allowed).

The resort has many free amenities and activities. They also make available different tours.  One of these allowed Kathy to check off an item on her Bucket List - swim with the dolphins.  As you can see, she loved it.

Couple also offers (at an additional cost) a private meal on the beach, in your room or in a tree house.  We opted to celebrate our Anniversary in the Tree House.  Our server came to our room with a bottle of Champaign and escorted us to the Tree House.  The table was covered in white linen and set with more silverware than I have ever seen for the 5 course meal. It doesn't get any more romantic.

The beach and sunsets were beautiful.  What better place to have a destination wedding.  Couples has a wedding option which includes their Chapel on the Beach.

Kathy and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.  We will return.
